เมื่อท่านโพธิธรรมเดินทาง
มาจากดินแดนตะวันตก
ท่านชี้ให้เห็นอย่างตรงไปตรงมา
ว่าสรรพสัตว์ทั้งหลายล้วนเป็น
พุทธะโดยพื้นฐาน
และไม่จำเป็นต้องอาศัยการปฏิบัติธรรมใดๆ
ณ เวลานี้ ขอเพียงเข้าใจจิตของตนเอง
และมองเห็นธรรมชาติของตนเอง
ก็ไม่มีสิ่งอื่นใดให้ต้องแสวงหาอีกแล้ว
หากท่านยอมรับแนวทางแห่งพุทธะ
ซึ่งเป็นหลักคำสอนที่ท่านโพธิธรรมถ่ายทอด
ท่านจะไม่พูดถึงเส้นทางสู่การรู้แจ้งที่แตกต่าง
แต่แค่เพียงชี้ให้เห็นถึงจิตหนึ่ง
ซึ่งไร้อัตลักษณ์หรือความแตกต่าง
ไร้ซึ่งเหตุและผลใดๆ
ท่านฮวงโป
When Bodhidharma came from the Western Land
he transmitted only the dharma of mind.
He pointed directly to the truth that all sentient beings
are fundamentally buddha, and need not make use of religious practices.
At this very moment just grasp the understanding
of your own mind and see into your own nature. There is nothing else to seek.
If you accept the Buddha-path, which is the doctrine
transmitted by Bodhidharma, you will not speak of such things
as different paths to enlightenment but merely point to
the One Mind which is without identity or difference, without cause and effect.
